They called him «The Magician». Valdo enchanted Luz in two stints and was a two-time national champion. It was from one of his corners that one of the club's most mythical goals was born: in the semi-final of the 1990 European Cup, Magnusson's deflection and Vata's (hand) shot that qualified Benfica for the final.
