He is the all-time top scorer for Benfica, having scored 480 goals in official matches. He is also the only Ballon d'Or winner to have played for Benfica, having won it in 1965. Eusébio is also the Benfica player with the most Primeira Liga titles as a Benfica player (11 championships), and the first player in history to win the European Golden Boot, in 1968, with 42 goals scored in 24 matches. He also won this Golden Boot for the second time in 1973, with 40 goals scored in 28 games.
