The 'Sacred Monster' scored in both European Cup finals that Benfica won: 3-2 against Barcelona (1961) and 5-3 against Real Madrid (1962). In the 1962 final, he was the one who was supposed to take the penalty that turned the score around — but the young Eusébio politely asked him to take it, and he did not miss.
